NWUK Management Visits Kano Deputy Governor, Seeks Stronger Partnership on Higher Education

The management of Northwest University Kano (NWUK) has paid a courtesy and congratulatory visit to the Deputy Governor of Kano State, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening collaboration with the state government to advance higher education.

The delegation, led by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Amina Salihi Bayero, visited the Deputy Governor, Murtala Sule Garo, on Thursday, July 2, 2026.

The visit was aimed at formally congratulating the Deputy Governor on his appointment and reaffirming the university's readiness to work closely with the Kano State Government in promoting educational development.

Discussions during the meeting focused on strategies for taking Northwest University Kano to greater heights through sustained government support, strategic partnerships and initiatives targeted at improving teaching, research, infrastructure as well as staff and student development.

Speaking during the visit, Professor Bayero expressed appreciation for the continued commitment of the Kano State Government to the growth and development of the university.

She reiterated the institution's resolve to contribute meaningfully to the educational and socio-economic advancement of Kano State through quality teaching, research and community engagement.
