The Bank of Agriculture (BOA), in partnership with Heifer Nigeria, has continued applications and verification processes for the Renewed Hope National Agricultural Mechanization Program (RHNAMP), a nationwide initiative designed to support young farmers, women agripreneurs and agro-service companies with access to tractors and mechanized farming equipment.

The programme, popularly known as NAMP, was introduced as part of efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s food security agenda and improve agricultural productivity through modern mechanized farming systems.

According to information published on the official NAMP portal, the initiative will provide access to about 2,000 tractors and 9,000 farming implements through a flexible lease-to-own repayment model.

The programme officially opened for applications in late 2025, while fresh updates and migration to a new application portal were announced between February and March 2026 as the Bank of Agriculture began screening and verification of submitted applications.

Reports also indicate that shortlisted applicants for Phase Two of the programme have already started receiving notifications from the Bank of Agriculture this May 2026.

Under the initiative, beneficiaries are expected to receive tractors, technical support, maintenance services, digital monitoring systems and business support aimed at improving mechanization services across farming communities.

The programme targets:

  • Youth agripreneurs
  • Women agripreneurs
  • Mechanization companies
  • Agro-service providers involved in large-scale farming support services

BOA clarified that the programme is genuine but not a free grant scheme, noting that successful applicants must meet eligibility requirements and financial obligations attached to the lease-to-own structure.

Applicants are also advised to avoid scammers and rely only on official communication channels and portals for updates regarding the programme.
